Utensils

The girls always have to have their "Pork" and "Poon" when they eat, which always makes good practice for them... but a mess for mom & dad.
A couple videos of them practicing their spoon skills.

Sunday

It was a rainy weekend so we laid low around the house for the most part. The girls were getting restless by Sunday, so after eating the yummy french toast daddy made we headed out to an indoor playground.

Just a couple pictures before we left.

Of course the second I get the piggy tails done, Olivia wants to pull them out.
I told her not to, so here she is pouting in the corner.

Little Liney with her daddy. Am I the only one who think they look so much alike??

More pictures to come in the next post of our fun at the playground.
I'm too tired to upload all those tonight.

A couple weeks ago

I came across some pictures from a couple weeks ago.

Grandma & Grandpa had brought the girls some ice cream - Dreamcicle!
No surprise, they ate it all up.

Cousins!

We spent the day with Auntie Kari, James & Katie.
These cousins had so much fun playing together!

The girls colored and then took over all the TOYS!

Thanks for having us over today, Aunt Kari. We need to plan another playdate again soon!

Paci-holics Anonymous

"Hi. My name is Caroline, and I'm a Paci-holic."

It's been 3 days since Caroline's last paci.

And I'm proud to say that she's doing GREAT without it!

I was dreading the day that I'd have to take them away from her since she's grown to be so attached to them, but it really wasn't as bad as I'd thought! The first night she cried for a good 15 minutes in her crib screaming, "Pah! Pah, mama!" And then the next morning she looked and looked for it everywhere. But now on the third day I really don't think she even remembers it.

And yep, we've added "Paci" to the list of words we do NOT mention in the Krupa house, for fear that Caroline will fall off the wagon.

Another Restaurant Attempt

We took the girls out to eat this evening at a little place down the street from our house. This was only our second attempt at a restaurant with them, if you can believe that! They did pretty well, managing to knock over only one glass of water with minimal food spills. All in all, a pretty ok experience. Mommy and daddy were even able to drink a beer!

She was especially taken with the yummy Ranch dipping sauce.

18 Months!

The girls are officially a year and a half. So crazy to think that I'll already be planning another birthday party in less than 6 months! Where have my babies gone!??

Ok, here are their stats from the pediatrician appointment today:

Caroline

weight - 20lbs even - less than 5%
length - 31 inches - 25-50%

Olivia

weight - 22lbs, 6.5oz - 20%
length - 32 3/8 inches - 50-75%

So even though Caroline (aka Pipsqueaker) is still not even on the charts for weight, our pediatrician still says that her growth curve is ok and not concerning at this time. She has continuously gained since birth, never lost or plateaued. She's just on her own growth chart, that little squirt. We were advised to continue giving her "good fats" in her diet and supplementing her whole milk with pediasure occassionally. It's wierd to know that even Olivia, who I always consider my little chunk munk, is only in the 20th percentile for weight. Both girls' heart murmurs were still detected today, but because they were diagnosed as having "functioning murmurs" this very well could be a lifelong thing for them that hopefully won't effect their everyday lives. The good news is that the girls are healthy, progressing well, very social and pretty vocal for their age. Dr. Ray was quite impressed with them showing off all their tricks at the appointment. We are definitely blessed!

Poor little munchkins had to get yet another shot,
so we decided to take them out for ice cream afterwards.

"Saturday In the Park"

"...You'd think it was the fourth of July"
I kept singing this song to myself today while we were at the park, appropriately sung by the band Chicago. Beautiful day we had here, just couldn't let it pass us by without enjoying some sunshine!

One year ago today...

One year ago today, I left my precious babes in the care of another for the very first time and went back to work. Hard to believe that a whole year has already flown by. The girls were not quite 6 months old at the time and looked like this:

I remember my first day back to work - how awful I felt about leaving them with a "stranger" and how unsure I was about the whole thing. I just cried and cried the night before. But the girls (and us) have grown to really love Miss Maria (our nanny) and think of her as almost a part of the family. Even though I often wish I was home with the girls everyday, it is so comforting knowing that my children are safe and loved.

Easter Weekend Recap in Pictures!

We had such beautiful weather in St. Louis this past weekend. Spring was definitely in the air! Everything was in full bloom, and the skies could not have been any more blue!

I loved all these trees with the blooming flowers.

I had a ton of pictures, so I put them into collage formats.

Look at those pretty golden locks!
