Playing Catch-Up: Krupa Family Gathering, Father's Day, Trip to Texas & 4th of July

Haven't posted in a long time - we've been busy! We of course have a million pictures from the last few weeks, so here's a few to document what we've been up to.

The Krupa Family had a big gathering a couple weeks ago. It was neat to all get together and the girls loved meeting all of their cousins, aunties and uncles.

Then the next week the girls flew on an airplane for the very first time. We all went to Texas to see my family and to attend my friend Tara's wedding. The plane ride wasn't too terrible, but pretty stressful nonetheless - toting around all of the baby gear was the worst part! The girls were restless in the beginning of the flights, but once we took off they slept pretty well.

We stayed at my mom's house in San Antonio and the girls had so much fun with their Grandma Karen and Grandpa Dave!... so much fun that we didn't even get ANY pictures of them. =( Sorry Mom!

New Bath Alternative

So we ended up buying an inflatable pink duck bathtub for the girls. Safe and fun, but too small to fit both big girls at once. We'll just have to wait until they're more stable sitters to do the real bath tub together.

First "Real" Bath!

The girls are getting WAY too big for their infant bath tub, and Caroline is practically backbending out of it. So I decided to try putting them in the real bath tub for the first time tonight. They are sitting on their own pretty well, so I thought this would be fun. They had a good time splashing around with each other and playing with their toys, but it was pretty much a major balancing act the whole time for Rob and I as they would slip around and teeter over here and there. I don't think they're quite ready for this to be a regular thing.... on to another idea.

Sunday Funday

It was kind of a lazy weekend, just hanging out around the house with the girls. They are getting so much more mobile by the day, it's a bit scary. Rob and I are in desperate need to baby proof the house. I'm starting to feel like they get board with all the "regular" stuff we do and and I'm constantly searching for new ideas of how to entertain them! We have playtime with all their toys, and then after a few minutes they look up at me and seem to say, "ok mom, what's next?" Wanting to get them out of the house yesterday, we went on a nice long walk around the neighborhood and of course got lots of attention. Daddy wasn't quite as excited as I to show off our new hot pink stroller. :)
