Happy Halloween!

What FUN Halloween was this year!  The girls had an absolute blast with all the costumes, pumpkins, trick or treating and CANDY!  I can't wait until next year when they'll be even more into it!

We kicked off the weekend with a costume party at the girls' school.  It was super cute to see all the kiddos dressed up, and a great chance for us to meet all the other parents in their class.   Olivia was a bit apprehensive to put on her butterfly antennae hood, but she came around eventually.  =)

And here are the pumpkins that the girls helped daddy to carve.  They still "greet" the pumpkins every morning when they wake up, saying "HI PUMPKINS!!".

For trick or treating, we headed over to Aunt Kari's neighborhood and the kids had the best time running from house to house!  They kept screaming, "MORE CANDY!"

Our Musical Kids

These girls are always singing!  They love singing along to the radio, their Disney movies, cartoons - you name it.  I think we have some musical kiddos on our hands, which I love!  My attempts at catching it on video are infrequent, so here are a couple I happened to get in the last week:

We've been working on "I'm a Little Teapot"

And they love all the songs on Yo Gabba Gabba:

Enjoying FALL!

We are thoroughly enjoying Fall here in Chicago.  This past Sunday we took the girls to pick out pumpkins to carve (pictures to come of that), and then went to the Farmer's Market for some yummy food, music and the nice fall weather.

Here's the Halloween pictures they colored.

And Caroline was excited to try on her Halloween costume.  She LOVED it and didn't want to take it off.... Olivia, on the other hand, told me, "NO! I scared!" heehee.
Let's hope she puts it on this weekend.

Happy Birth[month]

Whhheeeeewww.... the girls' official birthDAY was a couple weeks ago, but they've pretty much had a Happy BirthMONTH.  They certainly are celebrated and loved!  Welcome to the Terrific/Terrible (depends on the day) TWO's, my sweet girls!  Caroline & Olivia have had more birthday cake and happy birthday songs and presents and celebrations and surprise packages delivered over the past few weeks, they probably think this has become their norm.  ha!

We started it out early with my family down in Texas by taking them to Chuck E Cheese.  Thanks to Aunt Nee Nee and Grandma Karen for the Mermaid cake and favors!

The girls' classroom at school made them this banner with all the kiddos' hand prints - it's still hanging in our living room.

Here's Caroline snuggling with her new puppy dog stuffed animal
from Great Grandpa Smith and Great Oma.

And then we had another birthday celebration at Aunt Kari & Uncle Jay's house this past weekend where they were spoiled with lots of PRESENTS!

Mermaid Bath Toys!

Thank you, Mama Diane & Papa Bede for our NEW BIKES!!!

Jay's, Rob's and my birthday also fall close together so we too took our turns wearing the birthday tiaras.  =)

That's a lotta CAKE!

Texas Trip

We took a quick trip down to Texas to surprise my Nanny for her 75th birthday last weekend.  It was so wonderful seeing my family!!!  And what a great turn-out for her party!  Happy Birthday to my dear, sweet Nanny (tomorrow).  We love you very, very much.

And a huge Thank You to my cousin Steph and her husband Jon for hosting the party.  Stephanie is a very talented photographer and captured some great shots for us that evening too.  If you're in the San Antonio area, check her out! http://www.lynnephotography.com/
