Mom, Now that I'm a Mother

Until I became a Mother,
I did not understand,
The profound sense of love,
In a Mother's heart and hands.

As I whisper, "Mommy loves you",
I rock my precious child to sleep.
Small perfection in my arms,
Sweet breaths, slow and deep.

I now see me as a baby,
You're rocking me to sleep.
You whisper, "Mommy loves you,
My heart is yours to keep."

At last I recognize your love,
As a Mother I now see.
As I hold and love my child,
You feel that love for me.

I will always be your baby,
Despite the years that pass.
You have given me my life,
And a Mother's heart to last.

The greatest thanks I can offer,
More than words can ever say.
Is to give my child the love,
You gave me everyday.

EDIT to post below....

I DID IN FACT STILL WIN THE STROLLER!!!!!!!

I sent in a very sad email to the woman who was doing the giveaway as a pathetic attempt to explain my misunderstanding and why I missed the deadline.

She just wrote me back and let me know that she in fact also made a mistake in that the deadline was really 11:59PM tonight!!!! So I WON!!!!!!! Yipppeee! Sorry for my disgruntled ramblings on the post below. I'm soooooo excited!

A Valuable Lesson Was Learned Today

ATTENTION TO DETAIL.

So remember I mentioned a couple of posts ago that I entered a giveaway contest for that awesome double stroller?? Guess what - I WON. Out of thousands of entries, mine was randomly chosen. EXCITING, RIGHT?? Well.... Much to my detriment, I misread the post on her blog when she announced the winner and thought that someone else had won, and therefore did not claim my prize by the deadline of this morning of 11am. It was a total error on my part - I failed to follow the details. UGH. I didn't find out my mistake until this afternoon at 3pm.

I seriously almost peed my pants when I finally realized my mistake and was freaking out so much that I broke out in a rash!

I will definitely be teaching my daughters one of life's most valuable lessons - attention to detail.

pumpkin is good, but MESSY

Our new food this week is pumpkin. The girls LOVE it, but made a huge huge mess and had permanent orange stains around their mouths even after their much needed baths. I decided to just let them have fun, go for it, and get it all over themselves.

And this is why Rob and I have to work as a team when feeding them.
