The Woodchuck Saga continues...

So if you remember, a couple months ago I posted pictures of Olivia's front crib railing where she had gnawed on it. Well, little did I know, she has since moved on to the side railing and must have been working on it for quite some time because there is a TON of damage to it. The Nanny actually saved a chunk of wood for me to look at when I got home from work the other night; apparently she found Olivia chewing on this huge piece after her nap one day and fished it out of her mouth. She could have choked on this! Ugh. And every time I get her out of her crib she has dark brown coloring around her mouth (lovely mouth full of crib paint/stain which I'm fairly sure is NOT recommended by the APA as part of a toddlers daily nutritional intake), and splinters of wood in her mouth. What am I going to do with this kid!??

Daddy's solution? A towel wrapped and fastened to the railing with industrial zip ties, pictured below. We'll see how long it takes her to gnaw through one of those babies. Shheeeesh.

My Little Walker!

Look at my little walker!

And this is what she's been doing for the last several weeks, a goofy pre-walk walk.

We're still a bit unsturdy...

And Liv observes her sister very carefully, she'll be soon to follow.

A couple random ones from last night.

They love their name puzzles.

Bedtime Routine

So after dinner, baths, and sippies we usually head into the girls room for some downtime so that the girls know its getting close to bedtime.
They hug on their dollies,

And let mommy play with their hair,

And then they pick out a book to read.

Then it's lights out!

Silly Girls

Another hair clip moment...

hey, how did those get up there??

gotcha!

yep, tastes like a hair clip, just as I suspected!

And these are from this evening before bedtime.
We've had to take all the rubber ends off the door stoppers around the house. Why, you may ask? Because two little twins who shall remain nameless like to chew them off! Here they are chewing on the stoppers despite the missing ends. Silly girls.

Nice hair, Liners! (notice Liv in background going in for the kill)

A couple videos of this:

I love Fall Days

It's basically a law in these parts: any fall day in Chicago when the temperature is upwards of 60 degrees - you MUST go outside and enjoy! The girls and I spent the afternoon in our neighborhood boulevard and park to soak up some vitamin D. We had fun people watching, listening to a band practicing in the park, and jumping in all of the leaves.

What a beautiful day!

Happy Birthday, Daddy!

Happy Birthday, to my sweet husband. You are the best daddy in the whole wide world and we love you so very much!

We made daddy a little picture for his office,
and one to hang in our house.

The girls wishing daddy a happy birthday this morning.

It's a really beautiful day today, very rare for November! So once the girls take a nap we're heading out in the wagon to enjoy some sunshine!

Hair Bow Stealers & My Little Standers

We're averaging about 2.5 to 3.5 seconds for hair bows/clips actually staying in the hair. One of the girls always spots the other's bow and immediately must pull it out.

hey....
Gimme that!

hmmmmm
yep, right in the mouth for testing

Action sequence:

My little girls are professional standers these days. It's so weird to see them upright all the time! We're still working on the confidence thing in taking more steps.

Video of the girls playing with their Lego House:

And one of Caroline's sound effects while playing:

Caroline's infamous "stinky face"
Another video; apparently sharing a sippy is down right hilarious.
