The past few nights have been pretty restless. Both girls just do not seem happy sleeping flat on their backs in the pack n' play in our room. I'm hoping this doesn't mean that they have reflux issues. Anyways, the only way I can get them to sleep for more than 30 minutes at a time is by putting them in the bouncy chairs... so the living room is where I've been sleeping. The girls in the bouncy chairs and me on the couch, taking turns having each of them laying with me when they wake up and cry between feedings. It's amazing how little sleep I'm able to function with (well kinda!). Thank God my mom is here helping me with the "night shifts". Maybe she'll just move in with us! :)

That pic of them on their tummies with their feet tucked under is so precious!
Oh, I remember the days...the couch and me were very good friends. Bouncy seats, swings, and car seats work great for places to sleep. Neither one really slept in a crib the first 4 months. Emma got to a point she slept 10 hours straight in the swing. Tyler loved his carseat.
Yeah, maybe we should have pushed the cribs more, but you do what you can for sleep and to keep them happy and content.
And if you can stay awake for a car ride, you're almost guaranteed quiet time. Soon, you can drive and look at Christmas lights:)
Have you tried white noise? Even loud white noise? Good test, run the vacuum or hair dryer, see if they settle down, give it a few minutes. It worked for all three kids. So, then we had a CD of the hair dryer noise (mike made it at home with my dryer) and we played it EVERY night. Worked so well that during a photo shoot at home I ran the vacuum to keep the twins calm and sleepy for a sleeping pic!
